Acupuncture for Persistent Pain After Other Treatments

Some patients continue to experience pain despite physiotherapy, medication, or injections. In selected cases, acupuncture can be used as a structured supportive approach for symptom regulation.

We focus on persistent patterns — not short-term flare-ups only.

“Failed cases” refers to situations where previous treatments did not lead to sufficient or lasting improvement — not to failure of the patient.

This Page Is Relevant If You

What Acupuncture May Support

Acupuncture may help support:

  • Pain intensity modulation

  • Muscle tone regulation

  • Central pain processing modulation

  • Local circulation and tissue response

  • Nervous system down-regulation

Language note: support — not cure.

Depending on presentation, treatment may include:

  • Distal analgesic point systems

  • Functional point combinations

  • Scalp zones when indicated

  • Electro-acupuncture for neuromodulation

  • Segmental + central regulation strategy

Approach is adapted session by session based on clinical response.

Individual sessions typically last approximately 50–60 minutes and are adapted to the clinical needs of the patient.

Our Protocol Approach

We usually assess response within 3–4 sessions.
Continuation depends on measurable change.

No blind long treatment chains.

When Acupuncture Is Not Enough

If no meaningful response appears, we reassess and may recommend alternative pathways or referral.
